Love is to give

I read a article recently by His Holiness Radhanath Swami. An excerpt from the same I have copied below.

Love is not to want peace but service. To want service is a selfless motivation. Our nature is to love and serve eternally. The need of the soul is love not peace. Peace is a neutral state where there are no problems. It is not positive. Just like when two countries are fighting and they want peace. Peace means they are just not fighting anymore. But the soul is dynamic and part of God. The soul’s nature is to love. So when they say om shanti shanti shanti they want peace but a devotee understands the real peace is love. That is dynamic.

So people who want peace are those who strive for mukti (liberation), and according to Srimad Bhagavatam’s philosophy the desire for mukti is still a selfish desire because you are still thinking in terms of your own happiness and liberation. But the pure nature of the soul is to think what will satisfy God – that is devotional service.

Crush

When you love someone and they don't love you back, it leaves you broken hearted and hurts so much. I guess that's why they call it a crush.

But, crushes are not painful. We have so many crushes, be it Film actresses, our school teachers or the next door girl.

It's only when the crush starts talking to you and you start to care about the crush, does feelings fill the heart. But No, it may yet not give you a heart ache yet .

It's when you presume that your crush is in love with you and if that is no that case. We are headed towards a heart ache. It gives you a pain of separation once the crush goes away without reciprocating to your level of emotional indulgence in the relationship.

So, we better not presume anything about love on the mundane platform.
No one here is a perfect reciprocator !

Well, I purposefully entitled this one as movies revolving around love and not romantic movies as I believe romance is just a subset of Love. And I enlist something beyond romance.

      A wonderful story. Just makes one realize no matter how far you travel up the ladder of material achievements we are all hollow inside without true love.

2. A Beautiful Mind http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0268978/
      Well, more of drama in the movie. But its true love and concern by the wife for her husband John Nash which enables him to go past the illusions and believe in what's real.

3. Good Will Hunting.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119217
      A young guy who is totally lost, figuring if he can ever love someone anymore owing to the bad upbringing he has had. It takes someone who is genuinely concerned and cares for bringing  him out of his apathy towards love. Only such a heart overflowing with love can accomplish it.

How Really charming is the love story it portrays.

Loving is too hard !

I just came across something which has proved loving is so hard for me.

' for the heart who is too lazy to keep the weed of greed outside his existence, the seed of love cannot survive ' This was said by His Holiness Radhanath Swami.

And so rightly, the emotion requires nurturing too. like the situation i am in these days. it is totally killing the seed
